King Jeongjo's Royal Parade (정조대왕 능행차 공동재현)
September 2, 2026 - October 24, 2026Overview
Gyeongbokgung Moonlight Tour is a nighttime exploration program that takes visitors through the northern area of Gyeongbokgung Palace, where they can experience royal cuisine and traditional culture. Accompanied by professional commentary, visitors move through various parts of the palace while learning about the daily life of the Joseon royal family and the historical stories associated with Gyeongbokgung Palace. At Oesojubang, the palace kitchen, they can enjoy a special 12-course royal meal called “Dosirak,” a modern reinterpretation of the royal banquet table served during the Joseon Dynasty. This year, a special changgeuk performance featuring stories of the king will be presented at Jipokjae, King Gojong’s library, offering a unique experience where the history of the space meets live performance. Visitors can then gaze at the starlight reflected on Hyangwonji Pond and enjoy an atmosphere distinct from that of the daytime amid the tranquil palace scenery. At Gyeongbokgung Moonlight Tour, royal cuisine and the food culture of the Joseon royal court come together with historic spaces, beautiful nighttime views, and traditional culture to create a special and heartwarming night at the palace.
