Gombaengi Teotta (곰뱅이텄다)

April 4, 2026 - November 29, 2026

Overview

The Anseong Namsadang Baudeogi Pungmul Troupe’s regular performances have been one of Anseong’s signature cultural attractions since 2003. The 2026 regular performance, “Gombaengi Teotda,” by the Anseong Municipal Namsadang Baudeogi Pungmul Troupe, which represents Anseong, presents the essence of namsadang performance—the six madang—reimagined with a modern sensibility under the subtitle “The Excitement of the Marketplace, Making Gyeongbokgung Tremble!” The performance takes place every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Anseong Namsadang Performance Theater and runs for approximately 90 minutes. It is packed with diverse attractions, including lively pungmul music featuring the taepyeongso and kkwaenggwari; eoreum, or tightrope walking, where performers display thrilling feats and exchange witty banter on a rope 3 meters above the ground; beona, in which performers spin plates; and salpan, featuring acrobatic ground performances.
