Unexpected encounters with Jeonju folk traditions in the streets. This vibrant performance is filled with spectacular dragon-flag displays from Jeonju Gijeopnori, a symbol of Jeonju, along with pungmul performances. Enjoy humorous short madangnori acts, the grand dragon-flag Jeonju Gijeopnori performance, pungmul performances, and traditional performing arts. You can also learn and sing along with “Mandure Sori,” a traditional oral labor song from Jeonju.

Program
1. Parade departure / Starting at Namcheongyo Bridge - March energetically to pungmul rhythms led by a huge dragon flag. Everyone is welcome to join the procession. 2. Hilarious and entertaining performances - A vibrant traditional street performance featuring participatory courtyard theater and traditional performing arts, with audience members joining in through the old Dure Olympics at various points along the parade. 3. Coming together in a grand finale / Communal celebration in front of Gyeonggijeon Shrine - A dragon-flag performance by Jeonju Gijeopnori, a traditional art form representing Jeonju, along with traditional performing arts.
